Welcome to the launch of the BMW Sharknose Collection
This two-day event marks the beginning of a dedicated home for one of the most significant periods in BMW’s history. Day one will see the cars out on the road with a driving tour, followed by a static meet on day two — bringing together the full breadth of the Sharknose era in one place.
The BMW Sharknose Collection exists to document, preserve and celebrate this shared lineage, from the Neue Klasse origins through to the final E28. This launch event is about the cars, the stories behind them, and the people who keep them alive.
To mark the launch of the BMW Sharknose Collection, we’re hosting a two-day event on 8 & 9 August 2026, bringing these cars together on the road and on display:
- Day 1: Driving tour, centered around the Classic Motor Hub.
- Day 2: Static meet, hosted at Cotswold Cheltenham BMW
This launch has added significance. 2026 marks 60 years since the introduction of the BMW ’02 series and 50 years of the E24; two milestones that perfectly capture the depth of impact of the Sharknose era. Celebrating these anniversaries together is one of the key reasons that this felt like the right year to formally launch the collection.

Other models are welcome to visit and attend; however, they will be parked in the “general” parking area, to the side of the main event.
